Tree planting
Trees are our best friends. Such friends are rare. But the sad truth is that we destroy our best friends indiscriminately. It is a great threat to our environment. Trees help us in many ways. Human life is unimaginable without oxygen. Trees give us oxygen without exchanging anything. And the carbon dioxide we are giving off, the trees absorb it from the atmosphere and make the atmosphere suitable for life. Sufficient plants are needed to maintain the balance between oxygen and carbon dioxide.
On the other hand, the ozone layer protects the earth's atmosphere from various harmful rays. Destroying trees will deplete the ozone layer. As a result, harmful rays can easily enter the Earth's atmosphere. As a result, various types of skin diseases, skin cancer, lung cancer, etc. can occur.
A country needs about 25 percent of its forest cover to maintain its ecological balance. Otherwise, the number of harmful substances in the environment will increase. Which is not acceptable at all. So, we all need to plant trees. We must pledge that if we cut down one tree, at least two will be planted. This is our promise. Only then will the earth be suitable for human habitation.
বৃক্ষ রোপণ
গাছ আমাদের সেরা বন্ধু। এমন বন্ধু খুব কমই পাওয়া যায়। কিন্তু দুঃখজনক হলেও সত্য যে, আমরা আমাদের সেরা বন্ধুদের নির্বিচারে ধ্বংস করি। এটা আমাদের পরিবেশের জন্য বিরাট হুমকি। গাছ আমাদের নানাভাবে সাহায্য করে। অক্সিজেন ছাড়া মানব জীবন কল্পনা করা যায় না। গাছ আমাদের অক্সিজেন দেয় কোনো কিছুর বিনিময় ছাড়াই। আর আমরা যেই কার্বন ডাই অক্সাইড ত্যাগ করছি, বৃক্ষ তা বায়ুমণ্ডল থেকে শুষে নিয়ে বায়ুমণ্ডলকে জীবন ধারণের উপযোগী করে দেয়। অক্সিজেন ও কার্বন ডাই-অক্সাইডের মধ্যে ভারসাম্য রক্ষার জন্য পর্যাপ্ত গাছের প্রয়োজন।
অন্যদিকে, ওজোন স্তর পৃথিবীর বায়ুমণ্ডলকে বিভিন্ন ক্ষতিকর রশ্মি থেকে রক্ষা করে। গাছ ধ্বংস করলে ওজোন স্তর ক্ষয়ে যাবে। ফলে, ক্ষতিকর রশ্মি সহজেই পৃথিবীর বায়ুমণ্ডলে প্রবেশ করতে পারবে। ফলে বিভিন্ন ধরনের চর্মরোগ, ত্বকের ক্যান্সার, ফুসফুসের ক্যান্সার ইত্যাদি হতে পারে।
পরিবেশের ভারসাম্য রক্ষার জন্য একটি দেশের প্রায় ২৫ শতাংশ বনভূমি প্রয়োজন। তা না হলে পরিবেশে ক্ষতিকর পদার্থের সংখ্যা বাড়বে। যা কোনোভাবেই গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়। তাই আমাদের সবাইকে গাছ লাগাতে হবে। আমাদের প্রতিজ্ঞা করতে হবে যে, একটি গাছ কাটলে অন্তত দুটি গাছ লাগাতে হবে। এটা আমাদের প্রতিশ্রুতি। তাহলেই পৃথিবী মানব জাতির বসবাসের উপযোগী থাকবে।
